McGrath Nissan

I've taken my Infiniti here for service 3 or 4 times and I've always been impressed. The staff is very polite and the prices seem to me to be very competitive with non-dealership service. This last trip in I had a service engine light on on my dash for some time. They pulled the code and saw that it needed a computer reprogramming or something like that. They said it would cost $125 for the time to perform the fix. I've never got any pressure from these guys to have this or that done - they just tell you what's wrong and let you decide. I told them to hold off on that fix until I noticed something wrong other than the check engine light. When I picked up the car I saw on the receipt that they had performed the fix and not charged me! They put it on the receipt as no charge "goodwill". The engine light was off, all good! Another great thing about McGrath in Elgin is you can rent a car there for $30 or $35 a day - and it'll be a nice car, basically some new Nissan. I do this all the time now. When I need to rent a car, I go there and leave mine with them. If it's time for an oil change or whatever, I have them do it in the meantime. Great place, I recommend it to anyone in the area.
McGrath Nissan in Elgin, IL. Highly recommended! McGrath Nissan! Professional & knowledgeable staff! Lindsey called about the inventory! Great Chevy Suburban purchased from Sales Consultant Neil. Sales Managers Jeff & Manny great financing & rate!
I had contacted McGrath, Nissian in early Feb 2013, then a situation came up,which delayed my purchase. With that said, Ryan was very patient with me kept in touch and was not a pushy salesperson. Finally made it to the dealership, he knew what I wanted and he listen to me, go figure a sales person that LISTEN'S. I was given a good deal from Ryan and Keith the general manager, I feel I got a good deal. Best of all I love the car. Thanks Ryan for your help and patience's.
This has been my second experience with McGrath and they have exceeded my expectations!!! I think it's wonderful that Rueben offered to lift the car right away to see what was going on with it. Although I couldn't stay to do that he called within an hour of me leaving and let me know what was going on with the car and how much I was looking at for repairs. He said that he would need to order the parts and I can come pick up the car and drive it until the parts came in or I could choose to get a rental but the choice was all mine. I also think it's great that the service department went above and beyond and did a quick fix of the muffler so when I do drive it the next few days it is not as loud. I live right done the road from another Nissan dealership and their customer service is so poor, I think the employees from that dealership should experience the quality customer service McGrath has shown me!!!
I bought a vehicle here and while the sales man and the staff were friendly, I was apparently sold a car in February that needs $1100-$1500 worth of work in May/June. Coincidentally my "warranty" was only valid for 3 months. I'm disappointed that Nissan would not accept responsibility for issues with my car within 3 months of having it. This includes a non working air conditioning condenser. I feel at the bare minimum, for what I spent to have a newer vehicle - I should have air. I'm not paying $350 a month to ride around in my Nissan sweating profusely. Not only does it make me look bad - but when I tell people I bought a car from McGrath in Feb and in May when I attempted to use the air conditioning it didn't work - it makes McGrath look bad. I am a local business supporter and before my 3 month warranty expiration and before Nissan told me the absurd amount of money I would have to pay for "repairs" - I was frequently telling people to go to McGrath. Not anymore. I will not refer any friends or family or colleagues or acquaintances to this dealership. It's shady business to sell someone a $12,000 car and within 3 months it needs a minimum of $1100 worth of repairs when the car has literally been driven up and down the same street in Elgin the 3 months I have had it. Contrary to what the service manager says, the damage to my vehicle is NOT due to "terrain". I have not taken this vehicle 4 wheeling. I have not taken it to the dunes. I haven't even taken it out of the state or on the expressway much for that matter. It's a vehicle that drives 10-15 miles a day. I "upgraded" my vehicle so that regardless of a monthly payment - I could feel safe and comfortable in what I was driving. I do not feel safe with the constant ticking and clicking and the air conditioning not working (ever) in 90+ degrees doesn't make me so comfortable. On another note, the repair list from Nissan states my control arm on my vehicle was "Very Very Loose" but they did not repair. Would it have taken so much time or effort to tighten a control arm? I took my vehicle to a certified mechanic that has worked on my family vehicles for years and he said there was nothing loose around or near my control arm. Just because the deal is done, doesn't mean that McGrath should be "done" with their customer.
