Parliament House Resort

This place is a DIVE! My partner and I visited just because the website claims to be a "Gay Resort". Our experience was a true let down. The rooms are all on "centralized air" which means that you get the smelly, smoky air from every other room... well, that is WHEN you do actually get air. The room was stuffy and way too warm, even for January. I can only imagine what the room temperature is in the summer. There were elderly men trolling every corner of this place. Several actually stalked my partner every time he was alone. On this particular weekend, there was a" Growler" night on Saturday and you HAD TO HAVE the Growler app on your phone to get into the bar for free. My partner and I do not need that app because we are PARTNERED and thus had to pay $8.00 to get into the club just to dance and have a few drinks. The pictures that are presented on the site are , to say the least, deceptive and border on false advertisement. The rooms on the bottom level have tile floors and the ones on the top floor have sticky, dirty, smelly, old carpet. The furniture is about the same on both levels and contains the musky, smoky, filthy stench quality of air on the second floor. The pools is clean but stalked at all times by elderly men just wanting to showcase their "equipment". The beach behind the place is small with no view and even less character. This place has all the charm of an abandoned Howard Johnson and the allure of a bath house ( if that's you're thing then go for it) The staff was really nice but had nothing to work with as far as facilities. Please stop calling this place a "Resort" when, in reality, it is a "Last Resort"
Oh my god, this was a complete dump. The concept of the bars being somewhat joined with the motel is great. Unfortunately the rooms look like they haven't put a dime into them in 30 years. I mean the carpets and floors weren't clean, the tub was gross and we had to call for a plunger because the toilet almost overflowed. I heard that the most recent owners are a straight couple. The only thing I could say to them, is that gays like nice things. The room has to be clean and up to date if you want a good queen to come back. That IS what hotels live for right? They want good reviews and they want you to come back. Oh, and their are no controls to your heat or a/c in the room. every third room has a hidden thermostat behind a plywood board that you need a drill to take off the wall. The maintenance guy even seemed sick of the cheap owners not putting any money into the rooms.
Great atmosphere. And awesome drag shows
Full of white trailer trash!! I went on a Friday, Latin night, and white trailer trash bartender was rude and very unprofessional. This place is full of racist white trash. Very ghetto and trashy!! Don't recommend at all!!
The description my boyfriend read sounded great ,but as it turns out is in a bad neighborhood.I left my bag in the car because it had gotten dark I feared for our safety and what little valuables i had. We had heard of the water view out back from a distance seemed refreshing next to it a swing and volleyball court. (wait for it) We had spent 8 hrs on the road i just wanted to sleep as soon as we entered the room it smelled of must. The room "looked" descent until further inspection of the rusted adjoining door and broken vent along with being outdated. The bathroom was not the greatest i didnt even shower cause i knew we were not staying here another night. There was wifi that we had to pay for which most its free. We ate at the dining area which was descent, im just glad we didnt get to see the kitchen area where they cook our food. My bf and i slept FULLY clothed after i rolled back the cover to find a ROACH on my pillow greating me happily dead. He asked if i should notify management which i replied after seeing the place and people that worked there that it wouldn't matter. ( oh yea the next morning I go to my car and decide to detour to see the lake next to the volley ball court) which had pipes going into it.... We left the next day in search of a better place.
