Miller's Gainesville Ale House

For years, we always enjoyed the 35 fried shrimp and half slab of ribs.....until today! The shrimp were smaller, over cooked and tasted like burnt toast/croutons.....the half slab of ribs had very little meat! However, on the plus side, the service was excellent but not enough to entice us to go back.
My husband and I discovered this place two weeks ago, after living in Gainesville for nearly 6 years! Their honey barbecue zingers are awesome! The two times we went the waiters provided good service. I may be wrong but I saw that kids are able to get face painting (seems family friendly)! Overall, great place to try out! =P
Learn which beers belong in which type of glasses before you pretend to know about craft beers. How can they sell a beer at an "import craft beer" price when they are just a few blocks away from the brewery and everyone else in town sells it for much less?
I love this place. Everyone gave me great customer service.
So I went here with my fiancé and her brother to watch the UFC. And wow was the set up terrible. We got seated at a booth to begin with and the only thing at the there TVs were some very small college basketball teams playing. So I asked the waiter to change it to FoxSports 2 to watch the prefights, and he told me "sorry, you have to sit on the other side of the building to watch UFC." This angered me further. So we asked to move and we sadly found out that every seat on that side was bar stools, and if you've ever been to a UFC you know the fights are very long. So after being disappointed with that we sat down, got some drinks, and I noticed that not a single TV was set on the preliems. Every TV on that side was on the PPV channel, two hours before the PPV would start. So I asked out new waiter if he would change the channel to FoxSports 2 so that we could watch the prefights, and the look he gave me was like I had just explained math for the first time ever. But thank God I (alone) made them realize that the UFC was already playing on FoxSports 2. And to top the night off a couple people at a table started becoming very loud and annoying. And this loudness went on for maybe thirty minutes straight, and cursing along with their loud voices. Well when I saw an employee walk over to the table I thought "thank God they are gonna quiet them down." But to my surprises the employee knew the loud people and joined in on their conversation! So if you are going here to watch UFC I urge you to find a new spot, these people don't know how to run a place for it.
