Had a good time and great food at Embers. My wife and I enjoyed the flavors and the service. I'd like to find something bad to say but I'd hate to lie. It is a great place to go and eat.

We went after seeing the reviews online. This is my new favorite restaurant. A little pricey, but absolutely worth it. My grandfather is now going to stop here every time he comes through the area. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and professional. The portions are generous and you will not leave unsatisfied.

BEYOND my every expectation! Last fall, I arranged a December UF graduation dinner for 20 attendees honoring our daughter. My guests represented 8 states and 40,000+ miles of roundtrip airline travel. It was critical the dinner was exceptional: AND IT WAS! In early September, my daughters and I dined for a “test” dinner. The waiter, Randy, was exceptionally professional and the food was outstanding! With confidence, living 300+ miles away, I made a graduation dinner reservation. I telephoned and emailed the restaurant almost every week to confirm my reservation. They kindly returned the calls as well as the emails assuring me my reservation was in good hands. We arrived after the graduation a few minutes prior to our reservation time and the table was ready to go! Early arriving guests were seated, comfortable and perusing the traditional menu! We were provided two waiters, Randy and Tim, who were fabulous! I can’t share enough compliments. They were courteous, professional and patient with each and every question and request. Every guest was happy and satisfied: from the 3 year old to the 78 year old! Special dietary considerations were accommodated and multiple special requests were politely and graciously honored. The most amazing moment for me was looking down the table of 20 seated guests and seeing 20 individually ordered hot meals arriving within a total of 3 or less minutes of each other. Following a very special toast, everyone began dining on a truly delicious meal at the SAME time! Without exception, each guest RAVED about the quality of the food. The Chef and his staff delivered excellence in quality and presentation! It was truly a special evening for our daughter that was celebrated with the most incredible dining experience and memorable special family gathering we could have imagined. There was not a single moment of concern or disappointment. EVERY expectation was exceeded!!! I heartily recommend EMBERS of Gainesville for ANY special occasion! You will NOT be disappointed! We will DEFINITELY be back for the next UF graduation family celebration! Thank you EMBERS of Gainesville!

My best friend took me there for dinner - normally out of our budget range for a restaurant. She wanted my dinner to be special & it was VERY special. Had the 10 oz. sirloin cooked Medium, and it was perfect. The spinach was super green, not overcooked, & the squash was crunchy & draped in a wonderful sauce. My flaming dessert was equally tasty & the waiter very attentive to our needs - he even sang happy birthday! After reading the bad reviews, I wonder if it was their own fault the steak was dry or the table they got was a last-minute thing & that waiter was having a bad night. If you want a special meal, this is the place!

Most impressive place to take someone for a special night out! From the moment we were seated, everything was perfect! Cant wait for our next special occasion, our daughters 13th birthday and we're going back to Embers! Can't wait!
