Just moved into town and my dog needed some TLC. I own a 3 year old Shorkie who accumulated a massive amount of matted hair in the process of our move and enjoying his new swimming pool. I took him to the Waterford Petco and the ladies there were lovely!!! Dexter looks amazing and shows no sign of any skin trauma as the result of this. They were prompt in calling me once he was finished. Dexter can't wait to go back and I can't say enough good things about how he was treated.

I have used Petco grooming services in the past and I have always been happy until now. I moved to Groton, CT and scheduled a grooming appointment at the Waterford location. I walked in and the place was beyond filthy. The two girls were cutting an animal’s hair right in front of me. The animal was chewing his muzzle off. He looked really stressed as did the two women working behind the desk. One was yelling at the animal and the other was texting. I paid for my dog to get a shampoo, nail trim, anal gland cleaning, and her teeth cleaned. Neither teeth nor glands were cleaned. They cut her wick and made her bleed. Multiple nails had dried blood. She was howling when I got there to pick her up. In Chicago the stylists have a clean station, polite workers, photos of the stylist smiling, and always put cute ribbon on the animals after grooming. I was disappointed, because I love Petco and go there for all my supplies. When I adopted my guinea pig I had a worker show me everything I needed and a few extras. At the Chicago location I was instructed on what not to waste money on too. At the Waterford location I feel like I am I inconveniencing them by asking any questions. I will never go back there.
