This reasoning behind this place being hit or miss is simple....4 months out of the year they hardly get any business, so it is difficult for them to keep good people employed where the dining room is concerned. It's a shame because the establishment is lovely, the menu changes often and is simple but good quality and prices that are reasonable considering it is a resort. They have karaoke in the bar on tuesday nights which draws a good crowd of regulars and live music on the weekends usually. The sunday brunch is a bit pricey but I have never been disappointed where the food is concerned. My main complaint would be the price of the drinks...I felt that eight dollars for a very small glass of vodka collins was ridiculous and that was for well vodka.
We were not pleased with the food at all. Wont go back again.
I have been eating here for over 3 years now. The menu and staff changes out a little too often, but I've never had anything but a peace filled meal. This isn't the type of place to rush through. It's a night out, it's not uncommon to have a 1.5 hour dinner. It's very relaxed, so leave the screaming brats at home please. The menu changes too often making it very hard build of a "favorte" meal, and it makes going back knowing what you'll be eating very troublesome as it is likely not on the menu any longer.
Went here because we were looking for an "upscale" place to have dinner. Once we got there we had to go to the hotel's front desk and they had to call the host to have us be seated (took about 10 mins to be seated in an almost empty restaurant). Our server was just as slow and clueless and it took us another 10 mins to get glasses of water. After we ordered to took about an hour to get the food to the table. During our hour wait other tables could be heard complaining of the service as well so I know we were not alone in our dissapointment. It could have been an off night for them but with a tab for two over $100 there is no way I'll be going back to find out.
