Delany's has become a staple in the west ed and the reason is very obvious: they have zero competition aside from Starbucks. I have visited multiple times out of pure laziness, and my go-to drink is always a moca because the espresso is masked under chocolate and whip. But, it's not the mediocre espresso that has led me to write a review. It is the consistent disappointment I have with their food and baking items. The banana bread is black/brown and chewy around the edges, the wraps are incredibly bland, the scones are dry and floury. Not to mention I'm a vegetarian and I was given a scone with ham in it and advised it was a cheese scone. Don't be lazy, learn from my mistakes and walk a few blocks to JJ bean. Especially if you want a snack with your coffee.
Nice atmosphere and fast wi-fi connection so not bad for bringing a laptop along and catching up. Prices are about average for an independent cafe in Vancouver.
Nothing spectacular nor noteworthy. Nice on a sunny day, and probably best cafe within minutes walking distance of English Bay - certainly a better alternative to the Starbucks around the corner(s). When you get a good barista, you get good coffee.
Delicious coffee. Very nice atmosphere.
