Went to the Boab Tavern for a meal last week and OMG the best Chicken Parmi in the world no kidding the other meals looked great as well, staff were great. Needless to say it has become my local watering hole.
Meal for 4 Sunday evening, service slow, meal ok: 1. When did a soup/dessert spoon became 1 in a restaurant setting? 2. Ice coffee full of ice cubes not crushed, no ice cream nor cream very weak coffee flavour, no spoon, the straws are not appropriate for the sundae glass. Ripped off. Very clean rest rooms.
Good food and great service.
Went with oversea business guests on the way to the airport. Waited 1hr 40 mins for meal. Complained to staff twice and was told both times wont be long. After an hour guests were hungry so asked for a tasting plate or something to fill in the time and were told it will take to long. When meals came they missed one. 4 out 5 meals served were cold. The 3 steaks meals were ordered med/well but were blue & cold. When 6th meal arrived ( 14 mins later ) again raw & cold. They offered a free drink which we declined as didnt want a free drink. We wanted an edible meal prior to getting on a long haul flight. I sent email the next day to let management know and never even got a reply.
I took the wife a kids a 4yr and 2yr old. The staff were very accommodating even with the kids in tow. The Children's meals were great value each getting a coloring set, a yoyo to entertain them. The meal came with a drink and ice-cream, they loved it. The Pork belly was awesome and the crackling was super crunchy and a bed of mash. My wife's Pasta was good value with lots of large prawns. There is heaps of restaurants in Perth but It has been a while since I have enjoyed a meal so much and came away satisfied. Great food and value for money!!! Dont change.
