What a terrible experience we just had! Mind you i am a pregnant woman and with a 1 year old with my husband. It was 9:10pm and before walking in the restaurant we asked the waiter if still open... they replied yes take a seat. We walked in and then another waiter said ... we have 5minutes to order. They brought our food out and had literally 15 minutes into it and they were kicking us out- bought our bill out and i still had my drink in my hand!! HOW DISGUSTING!! And they said ... you guys need to leave...!!!! Like wah??Why sat we are open and accept us in.??!!! THIS RESTAURANT JUST WANTS TO MAKE $$$$$. I have been to several restaurants in the area and never in my dreams have we been kicked out!!! SO uncalled for!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! Even if the food tastes good we are NOT going back again!!! And i will pass this on to all my friends! Good luck Last sPICE!
The west is the best place to get Lao and Thai cuisine, or so I've heard. This place was surprisingly quiet on a saturday lunch. and we were the first customers to walk in. My partner however kept mentioning how this place seems to be always full every time he drives by at night. With the recommendation of the nice waiter, we ordered a few dishes and I was blown away. I've had plenty of Thai/Lao food but here they're hitting all the right notes. The stir fried morning glory was crunchy and tasty and this is coming from someone who's not a fan of morning glory. The crispy chilli basil chicken was all that, crispy, hot and has a nice basil flavour. And the crunchy rice ball salad was something we've never had before. It's a mix of what seems to be deep fried rice pieces with cured pork, coriander, peanuts and dressing. Totally yummy and totally unforgettable. I want more please!
A really good local thai restaurant. The staff are young and very friendly. Doesn't take long after you order for your food to arrive. Definitely try the ox tongue and duck salad! The price is reasonable for value. I would recommend booking this place especially for dinner and not arriving on the day as there is generally a queue. Would definitely come back here for thai food!
A local favourite rivalling Holy Basil. Why? Because for the most part they also do fried ice cream but with a variety of exotic flavours like pandan, mango or black sesame. This family run restaurant serves up exciting, flavoursome and authentic Thai and Lao cuisine and is good value for money. The vibe is modern and clean with friendly staff. Weekends and most weeknights are generally busy, so get in early or be prepared to wait.
My favorite place to go and have dinner the food is great the staff are great! Its a gem in the suburbs!
