Good place to have some drinks on the weekend with live music!!
Good food, and atmosphere
If you come here, stick to the cheap pub food. I took my mother here for mother's day and really wanted her to enjoy it. Unfortunately there was too much that detracted from the experience. Although the lamb shanks were amazing, pretty much every other meal was very poor, the dessert taster especially so. It was pretty obvious most of it was prefrozen cheap products. Coffee was just plain and bearable. I would be able to overlook a lot of this if the food wasn't very expensive. If I had to advise someone going here, i'd say get the cheap pub style food, steak and chips or chicken. The pie sounded good. You can tell before they changed owners the menu was much better as well. The service overall was ok though, a few times they forgot little things we asked for but were very nice and prompt once they remembered.
Good food, horrible service. Waited at the please wait ti be seated sign had staff walk past me at least 6 times whilst talking to each other and not acknowledge me let alone seat me. I saw food siting waiting to go out whilst i was waiting for at least 5 minutes whilst the staff joke around with each other. Worst service i have experienced.in some time.
Food is great portions and nicely presented. Atmosphere is comfy too.
