Nice bar,watched a live band here. Lots of old hippy letting there hair down,gets very full at the weekend. The air con was great,as it was very hot outside.
So glad Port Townsend finally has a great place to drink rare/hard-to-find beer. The first time I went there they had an amazing sour beer on tap and I nearly died from excitement. They have a great variety of beer on tap and a few standing coolers with beer & ciders that you can buy and then drink right there as well. I will be making this place a staple of my future trips to Port Townsend.
If you're one of the less than 15% of the population that love cigarette smoke, you love the Pourhouse. If, however, you are in the 85+% that don't smoke, on a busy night the outside beer garden is packed with smokers, the staff leave the doors open,and smoke pours in. So, not only can you not enjoy the outdoor seating and the great view without a side of lung cancer, you often can't even enjoy the inside seating without regular smoke drafts. If it weren't for the smoke, I'd give the place 5 stars. Maybe one day they'll chose to cater to the overwhelming majority of the population.
The Pourhouse always has great beers and they are always changing, so you get to experiment and try new stuff. They also have a huge beer garden right on the water. Nothing is better than enjoying a cold beer on a warm sunny evening watching the boats go by.
This place is awesome, not only does it have a wide variety of beer on tap the variety changes daily so you are always given new options and for those who can't make a decision you can taste before you buy..
