Well I could start by saying something about the owner, but seems like everyone else already out there has. I like the adjective POMPOUS that someone else used, so maybe we'll just call him that. I still can't believe what transpired this past weekend. I got married in Thorp, which is just west of Ellensburg, on Friday. My Fiance grew up in the valley and we had a great mix of locals/out-of-towners attend our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner on Thursday and went out to hit the town a little bit. We heard there was Karaoke at 301. So we went. We ended up with about 20-25 people at the bar and it was a blast. I made it a point to introduce myself to POMPOUS. He really didn't seem to care that we were there. The night continues and one of my groomsmen is provoked into an altercation. He gets kicked out. (There policy is- If you get in any altercation, no matter of fault, you're gone) Which I agree is fair. I again talked to the owner and asked if there was any way my groomsman could stay in with the rest of us. POMPOUS said that the guy who started the fight actually likes to fight, and he could tell from "the look in his eyes" that he wanted to fight that night. He agreed to let him in, as long as the rest of the night was calm from us. Which it was. I thanked him for his reasonability and told him that we'd be back after the weeding to support his business. So, here we are after the wedding. I am in the first Limo-load with my new wife and her wedding party. We get dropped off across the street from 301 and make our way up the sidewalk. POMPOUS is actually outside doing something and my wife says "Hey, we're back!" He says we can't come in. Claims we're far too intoxicated. Won't let a single person from the wedding in. Not one. At this point in the story I just get speechless because I am dumbfounded, apparently he doesn't like to make money. We had 30-40 people ready to go out and spend money on drinks. Apparently we should have just bought some beers and bottles and gone back to hang out at the hotel instead of trying to support a local business. Get a clue you POMPOUS tool.
