Junior's Italian
Reviews
HORRIBLE SERVICE! Ordered food to be delivered. Was told delivery was 45 minutes to an hour. That is normal. An hour and half later, we called and were told the driver could not find our house. We live on a main street in south Burlington, the driver did not call us to ask for directions nor did anyone at juniors call to let us know what was going on. We were told that they would send the driver back out and he should be at our house shortly. Another hour later and our food still had not arrived. We called juniors back and were told the driver should have been there but was probably on his way. The girl on the phone told me that she would not charge my card, and that the driver would still deliver the food. The driver arrived and I refused to sign the credit card slip, they charged my card two days later anyway. Food arrived cold, we had to reheat it. Will never order or eat at Juniors again. Will NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.
August 17, 2014 - We once rated Junior's 5 stars due to quality flavor, ingredients, and portion size. We have not been to Junior's in quite a while and today we ordered 2 takeout dishes - Penne with Bolognese Sauce and Pink Pesto Fettucine with chicken. WOW! Junior's quality, ingredients, and portion size (not the pasta amount but the lack of sauce) makes this restaurant now seem like a chintze fast-food Italian!!!!! Just to be clear, this is the Junior's Italian next to I-89 behind Burger King in Colchester. Now we have to taken back our previous endorsement of QUALITY and give the place barely 2 STARS. We spent $28.00 for these 2 takeout dishes. We called and they gave me an apology and said the recipes have changed. . . the woman who answered the phone did not offer to take our names and number and make a report to the manager, she really seemed like complaints happen all the time. . . I would not waste your money on this place when you can make the same dishes for 8.00. Maybe the owners have changed? We will never go back again.
My fiancé and I had horrible experience there. We have been customers for over 7 years usually sticking to their pizza and calzones which we have always loved. However our last visit there, which will be our last, was like a dining experience neither of us had experienced before. We have both worked in the restaurant business is the past and have never encountered a situation like this. My plate, the Chicken Rivera, was absolutely horrible. It tasted like they spread honey Dijon mustard right out of the bottle onto chicken and noodles. Neither my boyfriend( who eats just about anything) or I could manage to get down more then one bite. When our waitress finally came to our table to see how we liked our food, I explained to her that it was not at all what I expected and that it was so appalling they I could not eat it. She wanted to charge me for a replacement bowl of pasta and marinara and didn't bother taking any percentage of the meal off even after I had barely touched it. She rudely explained that this is how they had always made it and since it was edible(it wasn't) there was nothing she could do . Although the owner sat at the bar the entire time and could of cared less about customer service or repeat customers. Needless to say we won't ever be returning there again and unless you like being ripped off I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Also, for being newly renovated, the place was absolutely filthy.
I have never been disappointed with Juniors (specifically the one located in Colchester, but downtown Juniors is exquisite as well). AH-MAZE-ING. but for real amazing. Their pizza is ridiculously tasty and delish if you just wanna nip in and grab a lil' bit of foodstuffs; and if you've got the time, sit down, treat yourself to some delish fine dining on the other side. Their staff on the casual pizza side is mostly young kids and at times can be a bit less service minded, but it's a pizza place, and the staff is always genuinely nice. A many a times I've asked for complicated or unnecessary details to my order and they have been nothing but accommodating, going above and beyond. Juniors is great food and definitely worth a visit.
Best pizza in town. Slow delivery, so best to eat in store.
