Diya Restaurant
Reviews
I visited it on 10/26/2014 for the buffet. Food was terrible, it cost 20$ per head with very little items and that too terrible in taste. No biryani or any other special rice, they call it as plain rice day!!! Sounds like bullshit!!! It doesn't worth more than 8$ even on weekends. Please stay away from this place unless you are a millionaire to spend this much amount on terrible food.
Never again! This restaurant used to be my favorite Indian restaurant in the DMV. I recommended it to everyone. Had a bunch of family functions there. Went there today after a year, and it's just disgusting. It wasn't just the dish I ordered, bc we ordered a variety of dishes inclusing chicken and vegetarian. They were all terrible. Everyone in my group agreed as well. Last but certainly not the least, the waiter had terrible BO - talk about a huge no no in the restaurant industry. And especially a restaurant that is labeled to be premium quality. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
This is an Okay place with a good IN-Decor and service. The food is not bad and not that great that you would crave for. An average one. The staff is all very professional and neat. I felt they used more Cram to add richness to some dishes and too much oil for texture and taste and WE could FEEL it all in the taste. By the way i we dined twice on the Buffet.
Excellent food. We ordered Methi Paneer and biriyani and both were awesome. biriyani was served in pot. Really liked it. I will visit again definitely.
I am a vegetarian. Enjoyed their lunch buffet today. Chchole, matar paneer, and doodhi sabzi were good. Naan was good as well, although had to ask for it when it did not show up in the buffet for a few minutes. Two types of rice - plain and tomato, were worth savoring. Relished Kheer and Gulab Jamun. Bill was twelve sixty. Took me an hour of running in the evening to burn it all off and settled for salad for dinner ;-). Off to Amma's tomorrow.
