The Muse Coffee Company

Great coffee, good food, wonderful atmosphere, excellent place. The hours of operation on Google just need to be updated to show they close at 10pm on Fridays.
Coffee and smoothies are to die for, unless you order a specific drink that is almost unknown to anyone so if you stick to the medium basics or give helpfull hints as to what pertains to your drink, you should be fine. The atmosphere is very hipster-y and don't really expect people to share a table with you. Also seating is limited at times. All and all I was not dissapointed!
Great coffee, food, and service. Really like the Ethiopian blends and the daydream....excellent.
While The Muse may very well represent the best coffee in the Lynchburg area, don't expect professional cafe-caliber drinks. The barista seemed genuinely surprised by my ordering a (traditional) macchiato, and proceeded to unenthusiastically plop a sad amount of poorly steamed foam on top of the one-note, bitter and uninspired espresso. As much as I would love to trumpet the quality of the local establishment, it pains me to say that you may likely get slightly better drinks at the Starbucks down the road. Staff was very friendly and I didn't stay for food. Environment was average but I couldn't escape the feeling that I was sitting in a strip mall.
Brian's skills, from purchasing to roasting, have continued to improve month by month. His brewed fresh roasted coffee is second to no one in Lynchburg. I am no expert but, I've been working on coffee tasting for 10 yrs. He needs to maintain this quality and consistency - so we need to help all we can!
