Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea
Reviews
awesome place for studying and grabbing a nice brewed local tea! I love this place. Good internet speed. Friendly staff.
Their website over glorifies their baristas. They were rude in answering just simple questions about their coffee. Not a bit of patience. They are supposed to be passionate about coffee not just getting through a 9-5. The ambience is great though. Maybe their other locations matches the website's philosophy. The espresso was a bit burnt but the drip coffee was nice and strong. I also like how they roast the beans right in front of everyone. That was a very nice touch.
I just paid $2.60 for a medium coffee because I had to use my credit card. What a stupid rule! I can understand a few cents per credit transaction but $0.50 on a $2.00 cup of coffee?? I had already waited in line before I saw the little post-it taped to the counter. Thanks for the heads up! That should be posted on the door next to OPEN. So, what does a $2.60 cup of coffee taste like? It tastes like instant coffee from Kroger. That will be the last time for me.
Excellent place to start or end your day. The baristas are very friendly and within a a couple weeks of regular visits will know your order to the T. The coffee is great but I highly recommend the tea at $2.50 a pot that makes 4 cups with a water refill. My favorite is the Oolong or perhaps the Russian. Local pastries and bagels also make this a must stop location.
Best coffee in Blacksburg with the best service. Nothing beats the Mill Mountian Blend, except when they have the Hokis Blend brewing! Amazing club sandwich.
