Gray Cliff Lodge Restaurant
Reviews

Overpriced for what you get. If we wanted food from cans and the freezer we would have went to the grocery store to get it. Atmosphere is interesting, needs an update to feel a bit more clean. New carpet would be a start (or changing to a nice easy to clean hardwood). Very nice waitresses. Steak came out rare when asked for medium. Rolls were cold and getting hard. We wouldn't go again.

One of Ogden's hidden gems! The prices are initially what stand out. But the quality of service, the atmosphere, & the amount of food you get for what you pay (fruit cup, rooks, potato, & dessert is included with your main course). This place certainly stands out. Had some outa towners from the east coast sitting across the room, who couldn't stop talking about the style & elegance this place has.

A wonderful and special restaurant. In an industry dominated by national chains, this family retreat is marvelous. Old building, old interior and old staff is better described as historic, not old. Located up Ogden Cannon, it offers an unparalleled sightseer's opportunity. A fascinating legacy of the building and original family is found on the wall. It is must reading. When I am hosting foreign delegations, the Grey Cliff Lodge becomes a memorable event. For my guests, it is like being invited into a private historic American home. The oysters are great, the food excellent, the deserts a menagerie of homemade tastes. So, sit back, relax, and let any "quickness" like the fruit salad, remind you of your grandmother. Just do not eat it. There is plenty more to enjoy !!!!!

Such a cozy place! Over 100 years old and so much of it is still original. Amazing. We went just after 9 on a weekday and had the place to ourselves. Excellent service! Delicious food. And for a four course meal (with rolls AND cinnamon rolls) you can't beat the price. Each course was the perfect size without being way too much. I did have leftovers of my entree for lunch the next day. My husband did not. :) He was stuffed. There is a coupon on their website to use with a dinner for two. Go check them out! We'll definitely go back. Looking at other reviews, if you want a more "modern" place, go to a local chain restaurant. If you do decide to go, enjoy the history of this beautiful gem.

This could be such an awesome place if they cleaned it up a bit and didnt gouge people with an expensive menu for mediocre food. We wont go back.
