This used to be a great place to eat, but I hadn't been to this Mexican Food Restaurant to eat in a while because my experiences at it were getting progressively worse. I decided to give the place one more chance, because that's where my wife wanted to go to have lunch on our anniversary. In the past, there was always a manager or owner on duty who understood English well and was able to process simple substitutions and requests. The salsa was not thick and tasty today, but was watered down and would not stay on the chips. The waiter could not understand us and the cashier had difficulty communicating us as well. They were out of the beef-stuffed Poblano peppers, which is the only thing there that my wife had enjoyed on our prior visits, She was a good sport about it and ordered off the regular lunch menu. The waiter was not prompt to refill our beverages and chips and also took far too long to bring a spoon. The bill for the meal was at least ten dollars more that it should have been and the cashier refused to provide an itemized receipt. I did not see him ring up the sale on the register either. I don't intend to return there and would rather drive in to Lufkin to eat instead. I do not recommend this establishment to any one who appreciates good food and good service.
Great dip and food!
