Teresa's Cafe & Next Door Bar

I ate here for lunch with my wife on a Saturday afternoon. The food was exceptional. We had the escargot, Thai mussels, duck salad and the ribs. Everything was very good. Our waiter was Carl. He was very helpful and attentive. My only issue was knowing whether to go to the left (Italian side) or right (Belgian side) when we entered the establishment. We went Belgian. Great place. We will go back and recommend.
My Wife's choice last Friday night was Teresa's Cafe, we were looking forward to a nice night out to dinner. The Waitress was good, and helped me find a beer after my first three choices, But I should have ordered hot tea or hot coffee, because the temperature in the Cafe was around 60 degrees and they sat us next to the front door, Everyone at the table was cold, when the waitress asked what we wanted to order, it was all I could do to stop myself from saying, "How about some heat" Wife was cold kids were cold. The appetizers came and were Ok as well as the soup that I had. Then came the Rib Eye steak that I ordered $31.00, Well this cut of meat was so full of fat and grizzle I wouldn't feed it to a Dog. So some food was OK some was not Ok, but with the cold and the high cost $160.00 with a 20% tip, because it wasn't the waitresses fault, I gave it one Star only because I couldn't give it a half star. Sorry pay your heating bill and buy better cuts of meat. Will never return to Teresa's
Great beer selection; one of the few places in Pa. With Chimay Red on tap not in bottles. Great food too. Loved the dick sandwhich.
We went here for dinner last night. Before coming, I called to ask if it was possible to customize menu items for my wife, she is allergic to spices. They told me "No problem at all, come on over". So we came in, explained my wife's restrictions to our waiter, probably to the point overkill (even giving him examples of common spices) and he assured us that what my wife ordered could be made and would be made without any spices. When our food comes out, there are some specks in my wife's food, she asks if it is pepper, since black pepper was one of the spices she told him that she absolutely can't eat without a very serious adverse reaction, and he said "oh, no, there's no black pepper in that, that's oregano." So my wife has a few bites... And then it starts to hit her. The specks were not oregano... They were crushed black pepper. Shame on us for trusting him, shame on me for not tasting it before she had any. Now my wife is going through one of the worst flair ups she's had in years. Thank you Teresa's Cafe & Next Door Bar... you'll never see us again.
Great artichokes! Very good beer selection.
