There were 8 of us at Christmas time. We all enjoyed our food, though we waited over 30 minutes for dessert menus after requesting them. It is a unique place to visit.
The food is much improved in the past year. Of our group of 4 for dinner, all had different selections and everyone enjoyed their meal. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful, good beer and wine list including local brews, the dining rooms are charming. Pricey, but a great overall dining experience.

We ate lunch at the Golden Lamb and enjoyed it very much. My wife had the Quinoa salad and roast beef sandwich, I had the signature salmon salad and my daughter (who has a very restrictive diet) had a custom entree prepared by the chef, she said it was delicious. The service was speedy and our server was very friendly. The decor is fascinating, we were up on the third floor deciphering the past president's signatures on the bicentennial quilt for quite a while, you could spend hours just browsing thru all the history in this restaurant/hotel.
