Majority of the staff is very knowledgeable and genuinely enjoy the outdoors, very pleasant. Also been impressed by the fact that if they don't know as much about a certain subject they'll hand you off to someone else rather than half ass it. In the last year or so, between the rewards program and the almost constant sales going on, their prices are good and there's no better choice in the area for a walk in store.

Not cheap, but high-quality merchandise and a generally helpful staff. I don't know why the other reviewer is complaining that they are watching out for shoplifters – that shouldn't bother anyone but those who want to shoplift, and if that helps them keep prices down, I'm all for it! Besides, I'm all for anything that keeps personnel on the floor where you can ask them questions, which is something often sorely lacking in some other sporting goods stores.

The manager of this store must really push loss-prevention because it is very obvious that they are watching the customers, and postioning themselves near you and also between you and the door. You're basically being stalked throughout your entire visit. This is not a one-time thing in my experience here, it's kind of become a joke at this point to look out for when you walk in. This store would be decent and normal if it wasnt for this. lol The staff is very knowledgable though about all of the products.
