Annual cleaning service for propane gas fireplace provided on time and efficient. Robby was very pleasant and considerate. Appreciated his willingness to answer additional questions and thanks for taking little extra time since we had overlooked a cleaning last year so really needed it. Was impressed that the cleaning also included addt'l gas fireplace material (the stuff that glows underneath gas flames).. he even rearranged our logs and all looks fantastic again! Given the time of year, he was unable to go on roof to check cap, crown, flashing but he did make an effort to view from ground all around as well as thru second floor windows inside and this was appreciated. 1 star deduction simply because didn't receive "a condition report" as stated in original email confirmation from Charles in the office but can only infer since everything seemed to check out okay by Robby then all is well. Look forward to next year.
We were looking for a new wood burning stove to replace a very old, outdated model. We went to Ashleigh's just to look at some options. From the moment we walked in the store we were greeted by Joe, we knew we would be in good hands. Joe was friendly and extremely knowledgeable, he answered all of our questions and let us know what would work best in the area we were considering. Fast forward to installation, I can not say enough good things about Shawn and Eddie. They arrived at the scheduled time, they were friendly, respectful and very clean and professional. Their knowledge of the dynamics regarding installation for maximum efficiency were outstanding. We are total DIYers and will only allow Shawn and Eddie to return for a planned future job! I would highly recommend them to any of my friends!
Ashleigh's sent someone over to do a pellet stove cleaning, inspection and show me how to use the unit a previous owner installed. The guy was very thorough, didn't create any mess, and explained everything. I asked about future work on the chimney and he wrote up a detailed estimate. I appreciated the time and attention to detail shown.
I don't know about the service, since I just bought a stove from them and had it installed - But I was completely taken for a ride. Their service installation price and equipment costs are about 150 to 200% marked up. Check out what install kits cost before you buy it from them in a package, you''ll pay 2 grand on liner kits from ashleighs, that you can buy online for under $300 hundred dollars. As for installation, a job that should have cost about a grand to do, turned out to cost an additional $1750.00. Of the which, they came completely unprepared, had to put in extra hours, and charge me an additional 2 hours(when they where only paying their installers $90 an hour). The installers were there a max of five hours! Figure it out. The kicker, I had to even help the guys with the demo work and install. Afterwards, I had to brick up the hole they left on the second floor. I have a 1100sq' carriage house, and the stove I bought from them is a tiny Morso, that does not even work properly now. It's supposed to heat a space of 1200sq'. Stove cost $2576.00 - total price out the door- $7309.00 How's that for being taken for a ride?! Avoid these people like that plague -
Shawn and Conner did a great job installing our new Morso fireplace insert. The conditions were crappy, a steep roof covered with snow, a cold wind -- and it didn't phase them. They were courteous, neat, and helpful with my questions. The stove looks great and works beautifully thanks to their efforts.
