This is the BEST CHOICE IN ALL OF UPSTATE! The ribs are perfect! The mac and cheese is very good and their cornbread makes you think of the deep south. I have tried for years to find a place with good ribs and wings and this place is by far the best! The best wings you will experience in upstate ny, how do I know? I am the pickiest man in the world! I am very happy with this place and have to say they are very nice to people of color. (just calling it like I see it)
Steve and his team catered our wedding and it was AMAZING. We had met with him and tried his food and fell in love. The pulled pork, turkey, and sides are all fantastic. His hush puppies and maple butter are so so good. Steve was amazing throughout the entire catering process. He was open to all of our ideas but also had great suggestions. He was always available for our questions and I was completely at ease that they had everything under control. His team was extremely professional and even helped with the set up day of. Set up, serving, and clean up were seamless. He nailed the amounts of all the food and alcohol perfectly. All of our guests raved about the food and we enjoyed it a lot, as well. If you are looking for catering in the Kingston area he should be your guy. If not - go there and eat anyway!!
Had ribs that honestly where so dry seemed like they where days old. someone slapped a fresh coat of bbq sauce on it, and over cooked it a second time lol.
Decent service, good atmosphere, terrible food! Food tasted as if it had been in a pot of grease for days. Ribs were very chewy and no flavor, tasted like they had been smoked days ago. Pulled pork was flavorless, you could taste that it was not fresh. Went to this restaurant for our anniversary after seeing some good reviews and gave it a shot. Wish we hadn't.
I don't know where all you reviewers have ever tried bbq, but this was by far the worst bbq I have ever had. The brisket was clearly not recently smoked (no smoke flavor) and was dry only to "be brought back to life" by a pound of sauteed onions. I've also never ever gotten 1-1/2 lbs of brisket for dinner. Established bbq joints that travel around the country in competitions usually serve 3-5 slices of brisket in their entree. Perhaps they thought by giving me 20 slices of dried out dull flavored brisket it would make up for it? The ribs were tough and grizzly and again had 0 smoke flavor. The waitress brought me a different beer than I ordered because they were out of what I requested. When I told her that wasn't what I ordered and I would get something else, she got an attitude. We never saw her again the rest of the dinner. I would not ever eat here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
