I'm originally from Roswell and have been eating at Cattle Baron ever since I was a child. I loved it back then (endless pudding at the salad bar, are you kidding?!). I recently came back to Roswell with my daughter and decided to check it out. It's still wonderful. I had the sirloin steak with a sweet potato. I asked for medium rare, and they cooked it perfectly. So good! I haven't had a steak that good in a while. The salad bar was great, just as I remember. My daughter loved it, too. Our waitress, Jennifer, was attentive and timely. We were greeted by the manager when we got there, and he said goodbye when we left. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall, great experience, just like I when I was a kid. I plan to return on my next trip to Roswell.
Don't come here!! They don't know how to cook a steak!!! Waste of money!! After the 3rd!!! 3rd !! Time they brought back a new york strip because it wasn't cooked right. My server even said wasn't cooked right!!! assistant manager as had the nerve To ask me what medium well is!!! What a smart ass. Acted passive aggressive! ! I was okay up in till that point. My server was the best. But the assistant manager was terrible! !
The Cattle Baron has all the potential to be a great restaurant. Unfortunately the food is poor too bad and the service is poor to bad as well. It's sad when you can't even get olive oil or vinaigrette salad dressing at the salad bar. I really think you'd be better off trying any other restaurant in Roswell.
Good food, decent portions and a nice salad bar. Service was great, friendly and fast. Recommended.
The food was very tasty. I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered the filet mignon. Both were satisfactory. The salad bar had a very nice variety. The server was a nice gentleman in his late 40's or 50's. He was extremely polite, very attentive, and just a joy to have as a server. The bill came to around 60 without tip so that was a little pricey but overall we enjoyed ourselves. Plus the atmosphere was wonderful. There was a fireplace near our table which was awesome.
