The Lodge at Wilderness Ridge
Reviews
On the Wednesday before thanksgiving this year my wife an I decided to explore the "Lodge" at Wilderness Ridge. We should stayed with one of our old favorites as this exploration proved to be a huge disappointment. They won't get a second chance from me. The venue was very nice, the service ok but nothing spectacular. We ate in the dining room were presented a menu that should have caused us to get up and walk out before ordering. Nothing on the menu was priced lower than $16. I ordered the Td Pork ($26), which had good flavor but severely lacked the advertised sides. I received a plate with two small pieces of pork and a few cubed pieces of sweet potato that looked as if they had fallen onto the plate and the cook was too lazy to clean them off. My wife ordered the $19 chicken and received a severely undercooked and bloody piece. We definitely went away hungry and $70 poorer. Oh by the way, with a $26 entree you still have to pay another $4 for a salad. Lettuce must be pretty expensive these days.
Nice deck and open space. Best bartender in town, if I only knew her name.
An absolutely beautiful atmosphere! Wonderful garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned chicken, friendly staff, and a really nice golf course. Overall 5 stars for me. Perfect place for a wedding reception too.
Loved it! The log-cabin atmosphere was very inviting, and I have no complaints whatsoever about the food or the service. The hostess was very courteous and accommodating to our special requests, and the server was knowledgeable about the menu. My Date and I both had the "Duck, Duck..." which was delicious, as well as charmingly named.
First off, their general menu items are pretty good and fair value. However, their Mother's Day buffet was $26 per person and you had 18 items total to choose from and the dessert buffet had 6 items to choose from. 6 out of the total 24 items were items you could have bought at your local grocery store! The rice was terrible, bland and waxy and the pot roast was dry. I will not go here at least for a buffet ever again!
