Starbucks

Staff is very consistent, I enjoy seeing the same people. For me it means they can and do work well together. Newcomers and regulars all seem to be greeted and chatted up, even when busy. Have seen an all but empty store suddenly become full of townies and students. The 'crew' working handled the crowd with calm, friendliness and speed. Store had remodeling. I do wish corprate had asked for suggestions from customers. The store lost a double entrance that protected the inside from the cold winters of Nebraska. A cold draft is one of the last things I come here for. Tabels continue to use 4 "pegs" to help keep them level--THEY DON'T WORK VERY WELL, AND OFTEN BREAK OFF. The store and staff are as comfortable as old friends and a well worn flannel shirt. The staff makes eye contact with you, and seldom ignore you to speak to each other. 4 Stars because you ( corporate ) need to block that winter wind and get some tables that won't wobble. Keep in mind when I write about the store I am also writing about the home office. People and staff in the stores have their fingers on the pulse of the customers. The closest the home office gets is surveys and questionaries. I've written too many suggestions to your "idea" area and received nothing more than a form letter response. Little or NO follow up. Have stopped my involvement with suggestions. I now write ( when needed ) complaint letters.
Located in the Super Target on the edge of town, this Starbucks outperforms all other Starbucks in town. They get the mix/blend right every time unlike others in the chain. Although it is located in a store, you still get the atmosphere of a Starbucks shop in downtown. It lacks the atmosphere of the locally owned coffee shops, which is a drawback to any Starbucks.
