I was surprised to see the poor reviews about The Fox! My wife and I go here often, and more recently call in an occasional order to pick up, due to the high energy 1yr old that follows us everywhere, and doesn't like to sit still for more than 5min. ;) Anyway, we think its a great, family friendly bar and grill with reliably good food and service. We have never sat unattended for longer than a few minutes, even when its really busy. I do wish they had a more diverse beer selection, since I am not a fan of the "light" beer. There is always at least one decent brew tapped though.
I like going to F.O.X. because it is not your typical sports bar. The times I've been there (Husker football games, NCAA tournament) the atmosphere has been mostly laid back, but still lots of fun. The service has been very good, and the waitresses that I've had take time to try and talk to the customer about other things than food. (Time permitting) The food is above-average for a bar...probably around the level of Brewsky's. Prices are what you should expect from a sports bar.
A solid "meh" as this place is off the beaten track. It is sadly not a destination. You can get better burgers elsewhere, you can definitely get better service elsewhere. The pricing on specials is good. This place is not exciting, but the original Red Fox up on O is a good place.
Service is ok. The keno writers suck. I stoop up at the bar for a solid 5 minutes with nobody so much as glancing my way. apparently the bartenders are the keno writers, but they dont pay attention. The food was edible at best.
2.50 hamburger platter Sundays. Food & service were great!
