To begin the restaurant was very noisy, when my wife opened the menu salsa dripped off of it onto her blouse. The waitress laughed and said "no worries I'll get you another menu". Took forever to get our dinner. The beef in the fajita I ordered was tasteless. Overall a poor dining experience, we won't be repeat customers.
This place was fantastic! Great chips and salsa.....then dinner was great! Everything from burritos to the seafood trio our entire party loved all their meals ( 9 of us). They were great with the kids too.
We were in town for the wedding expo and saw DDD with them on it the week before at home and thought we should give them a try. SOOO glad we did! we had a wait that was longer than usual the hostess said, but I'm sure that was due to DDD airing again that afternoon. But it was well worth the wait! Our waiter Tom was great, he was energetic and humorous and very informative with the menu. They had run out of the catch of the day but recommended the chicken in its place. My fiancee had the chorizo and shrimp alfredo and she LOVED it. It was rich, creamy, full of flavor and the chorizo was spicy without being too spicy. I had the chicken tacos. WOW! the chicken was soo moist and delicious. kinda spicy but not hot. The rice was moist and fresh and the black beans were great. We go down to obx every memorial day weekend and we will definately be back this summer
Great food. Chips and salsa tastes fantastic. The chips were great. Taco fish amazing and the pulled pork wrap was huge and had a lot of pulled pork.
Lisa and Marcelo catered our daughters wedding. Mat and Erin are vegetarians and wanted that reflected in their reception. Lisa and Marcelo were willing to develop dishes around Mat and Erin's choices but infused their own style into each dish. The food was spectacular which is why there was very little left at the end on the evening. Who knew tofu buffalo wings could be such a hit with a bunch of carnivours. Each tasting was a little contest between Lisa and Marcelo and we were always the winners. Besides the catering we enjoyed several meals at the restaurant. The staff and crew are just as wonderful as Lisa and Marcelo.
