If you love all your beer hopped to death and hoardes of screaming kids, go to Outer Banks Brewing Station. If you hate that, go here. Excellent beer. Great service. "No Strollers". Was quiet and uncrowded. Girlfriend and I got two flights, waffle cheese fries looked like something i did at home, great crab dip with fried pita chips. Delicious light black cherry cheesecake. The beers are less gimmicky, not overhopped. Had a red, clean and subdued sourness. Not a brown ale fan but theirs was world class. imperial stout super boozy and tasty. Barleywine well-oaked and decadent. ESB was standard. Our least favorite was the porter, but we're not porter people. We left with a growler of the dry irish stout.
This place could have been good, but the entire experience was ruined by the terrible waitress we had and the rude staff inside. My husband and I were prepared to drink several beers and order additional food but this was made nearly impossible by our lack of waitress. Aside from her bringing our food to is, we pretty much performed the remainder of her job ourselves because she was standing behind the bar chatting. I would pass on this place and go somewhere else.
Patio seating, good food, fun wait staff, and fantastic beer. Try the Low Country Shrimp and Grits with a Lost Colony Ale!
Outstanding food!!! Great brewery!!! Great brews!!! Lovely wait staff ... sweet community!!! Too bad they are closed in the winter, but wonderful place to eat and enjoy the downtown Manteo atmosphere! One of our regular favorites!! March can't come soon enough for those of us who love the Manteo / Nags Head area in the winter.
Stopped by to have lunch with my family. The beer is excellent but the shrimp wrap wasn't. Some of the shrimp still had the shell on. I tried my sons western wrap, it was much better. I'll buy the beer but I won't buy a shrimp wrap again.
