Celebrated my 63rd birthday Sunday and had a great time, the fried rockfish was meaty and moist. Been here several times and always good, plan to go back every chance I get, Thanks to Nancy at the bar and Patti.
Reviewing the Tavern. Very friendly bartender. However, the group being told bar told bar is closing (and forced out) by 3 armed police...for a total of 10 people in the bar is outrageous. If bar is closing let people know and they leave. If past experiences warrant police presence, have them available but not the sole means to an end. It's Calvert County not SE DC. Assumed criminality is NOT expected customer service. Thanks!
Not clean and poor service. Not returning
Way understaffed. I understand we were there on a holiday, but management staff could've stepped it up & they were no where to be seen. Our waitress had too many tables to tend to, drinks werent refilled, bread & apps never arrived...long wait for entrée. Many mistakes with meals. Mine in particular was missing the andouille sausage, which is why I ordered it. For the prices charged on these meals to come with no soup or salad & the overall service, I would recommend spending your money some place else.
Always great food with service to match.
