Its a great dive bar with a small club atmosphere on the weekends. The bar gets overwhelmed though, so pre-game properly. Dance floor is pretty small, though no one really dances well anyway. Music is entirely dependent upon who they have performing that night.
Good open mic. Decent local music scene. Def dive bar.
goons at the door need to relax , & wouldn't hurt to respect there elders.
Great open mic, not a fancy place, good atmosphere and people. It served its purpose as a place to relax and listen to some good local singers. Bartender was cool
If you're looking for good drinks, at a fair price, this is the spot. I've seen some truly great bands, as well as some comically horrible ones, but that's the allure, its an adventure to say the least. And if you have a band, you can get started here. There are a few bands that come around regularly, the open mic night usually delivers. They've introduced Kareoke, which im not a fan of, but I realise many people like that. I usually pop in to see the wierdness of that whole idea. It's usually good for a few laughs. If you dont want to get into a fight, this is the one bar I've never seen it happen in. Forget JP McBrides, or the Peddler's Daughter. The only other place I'd recommend is Kelley's.
