S&S Tire
Reviews
On our way to Florida, we had a blowout on our tow vehicle. The emergency roadside assistant, who came to put on the spare, suggested we have our vehicle towed to S&S Tire. We did and the service was terrific. A young man named Scott helped us out . They did everything they could to get us back on the road as soon as possible. Alas, it was going to cost more to fix it than the vehicle was worth. They found someone to come and get the van. I would highly recommend this business for your car care needs.
Had a great experience with the very helpful and friendly staff. Got new tires and many other issues fixed all at once and for a good price. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
I know s&s has a pretty good reputation. There would not be a dozen of them if they were a fly by night outfit. Heck, they have done repairs for me and my fleet in the past. But I asked for a power steering pump to be replaced at 9:55am on Monday. It's now 4:30 pm on Tuesday and I am no closer to getting my truck back. mind you, they are extremely professional and courteous. But due to a supplier sending the wrong size bolts, a bad pump, and a busy Monday, I have been waiting 2 days. As a small time customer I have zero leverage. Other than what I believe is a sincere "sorry", what do I do? Wait and accept it? Yes. I own a construction company that does work for Toyota and they would have replaced me the next day if I delivered this same service. I would do the same but it has zero impact. I know the owner is reading this and I mean it as nothing more than a window look into a true experience. Your people are good, and deep down I believe you are successful because of that. But "damn!" You guys dropped the ball here.
The staff at S&S Beaumont always do their best to get to the source or my vehicle's issue and accommodate my schedule. What's more, if you are ever unhappy with anything, they ALWAYS work to make it right! If you are happy with S&S Tire, tell your friends, if you are not, tell them!
I had a very bad experience today at S&S Tire, 3070 Fieldstone Way, Lexington, KY. On Tuesday I took my 2003 Buick LeSabre in to be checked because it had been riding rough. I was given an estimate for $369 plus 15 for balancing tires. They had to order 2 wheels, because the 2 wheels were bent, according to them. The person who waited on me, Mike, also recommended that I get 2 new tires, which I did. When my invoice came out, the cost was $595.40. This was quite a surprise, because the estimate had the 369 written clearly. The description says 2 wheels and price for parts is 179. It does not say "each" like it does for the tires. When I questioned Mike, he responded that each wheel was $179. Several other things were recommended, but I am very glad that I did not agree to have anything more done there. That is my last trip into that business! Written by Linda McMaine
