Pita Paradise
Reviews
Let me start off by saying that the menu at this place is over-priced for the quality and amount of food you get. There were hardly any customers when my friend and I arrived, but we had to wait for our food at least half an hour. I know what mediterranean/middle eastern foods should taste like. This is no paradise, let's not fool ourselves. I am disappointed and I will not eat here anymore :-(
How can you give this place a negative review? It's pretty great. Their falafels are the best I've ever had, EVAR. Great quality olive oil on the hummus (which is also delicious). Baba ganoush has an awesome flavour profile, garlicky at first and then smokey; quite good. I wasn't too crazy about the grape leaves but then again I'm averse to eating things that taste like eucalyptus, although I'm sure any one of my koala pals would love it. Plus it's nice to order our food and pop over to Hookah Paradise next door to buy some shisha. Bring those puppies home and you've got yourself a little Middle Eastern vacation in your living room (assuming you're a slob like us and eat in front of the television).
Don't eat here. They served me refrigerated food. Terrible hygiene. Handled my food with their bare hands (food fell on table). I wonder how this place has stayed open how they conduct business. I wish I can give them no star.
I have traveled much in the Middle East and so I love the flavors of Middle Eastern food.I was not disappointed in the least at Pita Paradise! It is authentic and wonderful! The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the menu options are great! My friend and I had the Middle Eastern vegetarian Platter (Hummus, Baba Ganoug, salad, falafel, and grape leaves), one skewer of chicken, beef and kafta kabob, served with grilled vegetables and seasoned rice and potatoes) and it was huge and delicious! You will not be left hungry. We had leftovers to take home. All the flavors and all the food were delicious. I've probably said that a million times already in the review. Will go again if I'm back in the area (I am visiting for a few days). Wish there was a place like this where I am living. I highly recommend
The guy who was working here was patient with how slowly we decided on what we wanted, and the food itself was good. It wasn't anything mind blowing, but it was pretty good for the price (under $25 for 3 people) The reason I won't be going back here is that while we were waiting on our food, a cockroach was crawling around the floor of the eating area. It was almost dead, suggesting that some sort of anti-bug products had been used. The fact that anti-bug stuff had been used recently enough to still be killing this roach so close to the food prep area made me nervous. I don't think I'll go back, unfortunately.
