The food was fantastic. Service....ehhh....very slow and they messed up our beer orders. Then getting new beers took forever. They served the wrong food dishes to the wrong people. All of that was tolerable, it was VERY busy, so I give the servers a little leeway. BUT, the sitar music(?) was so loud that we literally had to scream at each other to be heard above it. We had a table of 6 upstairs that hadn't got together for years and wanted to reconnect. Forget THAT. We were lucky to even understand what the other person was saying, much less have a lively conversation. My throat was sore when I got home from screaming for 2 hours. Incidentally, I am not some old prude. In fact, I am a musician myself who use to PLAY in bars and restaurants. I never played in a restaurant that allowed me to play THAT loudly.... In the end, my wife and my bill was $91 (plus 20% tip, so $109). Again, the food was excellent, but the rest of the experience was so bad that we will not return a for a 3rd time. (we had come once before during the week when there was no live music)

Amazing food and service. Very knowledgeable staff. Absolutely loved all the ceviche kinds.

One of the best happy hours I have discovered in Sarasota. The soy sauce-lime wings, calamari, tostones are all top notch. Also, the drinks are strong! Try the sangria or mojito.

Great atmosphere, awesome beers. Every beer I tried was great. Didn't eat there but everything sounded great. Will definitely eat there next time I'm in Sarasota.

Friday night, 6:45pm, dinner for two. Seated downstairs. Able to watch Chef and his staff in the open kitchen. The shrimp spring rolls were simply creamy and delicious with a beautiful presentation. The tuna tiradito (sashimi tuna with watermelon slices and ginger soy sauce, and leche de tigre) was fresh and wonderful. A combination I will enjoy whenever we return. The large kernels of Peruvian corn generated a fascinating and educational conversation with staff. Chef Darwin’s skirt steak with sweet plantains, chimichurri, and beet relish was so flavorful and tender - it just melted in the mouth. The Thai shrimp lettuce wrap was a delightful surprise. A large bowl of chorizo, shrimp, peanut, cilantro, and mint was served with a dish of tamarind sauce for dipping/spooning, and half a head of crisp lettuce. I rolled my own. Every bite was a treat, and exactly as I liked because I prepared it. A very fun and novel dining experience, and SO delicious. The anticucho de carne (marinated beef kabobs, served with Argentinian chimichurri) was onolicious. We barely had room for dessert but had to try the brulee, which did not disappoint. The entire evening was delightful. Staff was most learned and attentive. We had a great dining experience and look forward to returning.
