I went there once, probably be my last time. Eggs and sirloin steak breakfast was very good and the portion size was generous. The Roast Beef Au Jus sandwich (take out) hadn't been too good, however, because the roast beef was processed meat and had a weird taste. I couldn't eat it, had to get rid of it. However, the reason I'm giving this café only a three is because Pam, my waitress hadn't been too friendly. I don't know what I had said or done wrong, but something went awire or rubbed her the wrong way. Maybe I was not friendly enough? I'm not sure, really, but her smile was there one minute and the next minute it was gone! She was friendly with everyone else so I don't know what happened. The only other matter was they only accept cash at this restaurant. I guess I had missed the sign at the door? However, they do have an ATM inside which had saved the day for me!
Very nice place to eat breakfast or lunch. Friday night fish fry is wonderful. Help is friendly and nice still matters at Katie's cafe.
I love the atmosphere and the food. Very relaxing place to eat a good breakfast.

Breakfast and lunch only. Breakfast is excellent. Same owners as Main Bar (downtown Sarasota) so there are some of the same sandwiches as that establishment.
