Ok let me start by saying the food is great and a great price. But the main problem I have had from this restaurant from day one is the hostesses and the time it takes to be seated. They will have tons of people waiting, telling them 30 mins, 45 mins.. up to an hour...but you'll look around and there are whole sections with tables available. Here are some possible reasons I can see for having empty tables and people sitting and waiting. You don't have enough waiters, easy fix.. hire more! You don't have enough skilled waiters..hire more and train better. You don't have a confident kitchen staff... hire more/better, or train them more. You want to save on money by not hiring more.. well then you're doing that one perfectly. Your hostesses will tell people whatever amount of time, it is never that amount of time. I have a theory about that. I think they'll tell them long amounts of time so that people won't wait. But I've waited it out twice because my family really wanted to eat there. The first time they told me an hour and a half. Trust me I WOULD NEVER wait that long. Well we were seated in about 30 mins. I would pass table after table that was empty. Today was the second time I waited. They said 35 mins. As we were waiting I counted the number of tables open, that I could physically see. It was 8...there were more as I started to walk to our table. So we waited about 20 mins or so.. do you know the same exact table I sat there and watched that was completely open..was the one they sat us at. On my way there I counted 12 tables that were open. Do you know that everyone that they told that it would be a wait of 35 mins, they sat at all those tables that we sat there and watched for 20 mins!!! This is absolutely ridiculous. The only other restaurant I know that pulls this kind of junk is O'Charley's. They said it's because they don't have waiters for that section...well you know what you have to do? HIRE MORE.. stop being cheap!

I tried Cheddar's for the first time. Before going I saw some negative reviews about both the service and the food but decided to try anyway since very close to my hotel. I thought the service was excellent and the food was good. I will definetely go back next time I am town. Business visitor from Colorado.

Sorry but have to say that the food was literally horrible... The onion rings were presented beautifully however they were so salty they were inedible. The Chicken pecan salad had no pecans and tasteless chicken in a bowl of bag salad. My daughter did not enjoy her tortilla soup or the buffalo chicken wrap... The restaurant is very pretty. It's a shame cause we won't be back.

No stars..... Just got back from lunch after eating at this so called restaurant. First of all, we had a very nice waiter, Robert, who came after we had been sitting for about 10-15 minutes to take our order. At that time, we ordered our food and drinks at the same time because we were on our lunch hour, which we told him. He put our food in, and about 20 minutes later, the food came out, but was brought by kitchen staff and not our waiter Robert. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger and a baked potato, fully loaded. My baked potato was a child's portion, with only butter and grated cheese on it. My co-worker order a chicken quesadilla and black beans. (black beans were horrible and tasted like they were straight out of the can) The potato was cold, and was not appetizing at all. Robert was no where to be found. After a while, he came out and passed us by, went to a neighboring table and began conversing with the 2 young men who looked as though they were his friends. STILL didn't come over to ask how the food was. I finally had to motion to the young man he was talking to to tell him I needed him. He came over, only addressed me, and took the potato back and brought me back my requested fries. STILL DIDN'T ASK THE REST OF THE TABLE HOW THEIR MEALS WERE. After we finished eating, STILL, no Robert. We looked for him for about 30 minutes, until we finally had to call him over to bring our checks! He came back 15 minutes later with our checks, gave them to us, then took another 10 minutes to bring back our credit/debit cards. Now anyone who can add knows that there is only 60 minutes in an hour, and we are long past our lunch hours with travel time. The food was horrible, and the service even worse. Never not one time did the Manager even come by to ask how we were....We never even got refills on our drinks! Lesson: don't go to this establishment to eat....food not worth the price. We have been there several times, and had several things and they all have been terrible. My granddaughter can probably cook better food in an easy bake oven.
