Nona Blue Modern Tavern

Have always loved this place, but last couple times have been "we're out of this, out of that". Tonight, they were out the first 4 beers I asked for. Nice. If I wanted to drink Bud..., errrr, never mind. Get your act together guys!
Have to say this place is pretty good. Setup is great with an awesome staff and a very good menu. I call my wife the "Specials Girl" because she always order whatever fish entree they have and its always good. Just moved here and very glad to find a go-to restaurant. Scallop dish is on point, too.
The grilled salmon with asparagus is perfection. But then, everything I've tried on the menu has been an amazing treat for the senses!! K
the chicken and waffles was delicious. Only concern was that our waitress forgot about us once the food was delivered... no refills on drinks, no checking in,and small items that were requested never made it to the table. place has a nice atmosphere and all the food I tried from my family was also delicious.
Can you say YUMMY! Got turned on to Nona Blue by a friend. From the fine furnishings and atmosphere you would expect painfully high prices. I was ready to pay through the nose. My first visit with my friend was to have a short business meeting over a few drinks. We sat on the attached patio. It was not very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good and I decided I would return soon for a meal with my wife. I took my wife last night - Friday at around 6:30. The parking lot was full and there was a steady stream of people headed to this spot. I thought to myself that we were probably going to have to wait a while and I should have considered reservations. The dining area, bar and patio appeared to be full and several larger parties were already waiting. We were surprised that they were able to seat us immediately. We waited little while for our server and two other people came to take a drink order for us. When our server (Natalie) arrived she was cheerful and apologized for the wait (it wasn't really very long). Natalie answered questions about the menu and took both our appetizer and entree order and offered to delay the entree to allow us to enjoy our appetizer (nice, professional touch). We shared the Firecracker Shrimp, it had a very fresh taste and a light breading. It could have used a little more spice and it was still delicious. I had the seared Ahi salad. It was excellent. My wife had the steak salad - I sampled her's and it was delicious - I really enjoyed the spice in the dressing and the steak was cooked perfectly. Both salads were plated expertly - when they arrived I started eating with my eyes. We indulged in dessert. I am the world's number one expert on carrot cake. Natalie said that their's was so good that it made her love carrot cake. We gave it a whirl - HOLY MOLEY!!!! This is the best carrot cake I have ever eaten. The next time I will skip the caramel sauce because it takes the sweet to a little over the top. But trust me, if you like sweet dessert and don't like carrot cake - get the carrot cake - you willl be converted. Great atmosphere, GREAT service, GREAT food, GREAT place!
