Just left from Layalina Hookah Lounge. There were 3 of us and our order was: 2 hookahs and a pot of hot tea. How was our bill $70? Apparently there was a $15 "DJ fee" (lol) but as if that wasn't ridiculous enough - we specifically asked to sit outside when we noticed the DJ getting ready to start his set. So we got charged for NOT listening to the DJ. Ok. Then they automatically charge an 18% gratuity fee. So all of the extra fees are charged with no one telling you or it being posted anywhere. This place should come with fine print. I don't appreciate the way they do business if it's done in that way and for that reason I won't be going back, I'll be sure to tell everyone I know not to either and if you're reading this review - I suggest taking your money to some place that doesn't overcharge their customers in a shady way. I could have paid the same money for the same order on south beach. Ridiculous.
Layalina really is a "hidden gem" in Orlando. Classy hookah lounge. The people working there are super friendly and really take care of you. Cool ambiance with great music. I highly recommend it! :)
worst service. rip off. they charge $5 per person dj fees!!!! even though we were sitting outside because we didn't the loud music. they also charge 18% gratitude and all without telling the customer...crap
Customer service is the worst I seen in years. Server never comes to our table, I had to signal to staff behind the bar. They finally bring our drinks and hookah. server comes over to explain to us about a cover charge of $5 each = $10. WHAT! 20 minutes later after we already ordered. they served my white wine in a child-size mini cognac glass. I ask for a proper WINE glass which I saw hanging from the bar, they refused, saying "this is we serve it". Wine is $3 a bottle, don't be so petty!! The TV's didn't work "no signal" and the atmosphere was super LAME!!! Good luck Layalina, we'll see how long you stay in business without any customers. Customer service is everything.
It's a cold day in Florida, not often it does get cold here but the place was freezing! They could have put the heat on... The music was to loud... The blow out valve on the hookah was stuck... It's close to my work but not to sure I'll come back... Maybe next time will be better.
