This REI location is an absolute bust. I just visited the store on my lunch break to purchase some ski gear for the weekend. I parked in the garage and brought my parking ticket inside in case it needed to be validated. I was in the store for about 30 minutes and spent upwards of $100, and in that time I somehow misplaced the parking ticket. The staff did not help resolve the matter and instructed me to call for assistance when pulling out of the garage. When I did so, the garage attendant was extremely unhelpful and demanded I pay the whole day parking fee. This is a terrible customer experience, and I will not be returning any time soon.
I have made several small purchases here and those have been nice, but in regards to the bicycle shop... It is confusing and inconsistent. I ride my bicycle three or four times a week to work and school. 16mi a trip and i love it. To keep my bike running smoothly i have come in for several tune ups and sometimes i have had to reschedule... And everytime i do... The recommended tune up and repairs change. Very inconsistent and shows a lack of equally skilled staff. Then right now. I have been waiting two weeks so far for my bike to be repaired... They quoted me 3~4 days and i am going to file a complaint if they dont have it done today when i check in again. This bike is apart of my livelihood and expressed that in asking for the estimated date of completion. Then this might change to. 2 stars.
i've been a member since the late 80's, this is my go-to place for weather/outdoor anything. my REI boot shave taken me up Mt Fuji and Mt Vesuvius, just for starters. they were the only ones to stock an adjustable phone holder [LG-G2] for a bicycle, i bought 2.
What happened to this place? Poor customer service -- noticeably poor. Because of this, I spent over two hours getting my annual load of outdoor gear for my family. Spent well over $1000 . Had to pay to park in the REI lot. The manager says it's a good thing - making people pay. There are more parking spots this way. They must not be hurting for business. And now, they have one less customer. I can do much better on the internet, in local shops, or at other sports stores. Goodbye, my little co-op.
I went here to find an awesome pair of walking sandals that I could live in for the summer. The customer service was horrible! The lady that was helping me practically snarled every time I asked to try on another style. I had to chase her down to ask her questions that I had. I would have to be hard pressed to go there again. I was thoroughly disappointed!
