Marmalade Cafe Malibu
Reviews

Comfortable decor. Friendly, efficient and smiling staff. I usually get their turkey+cranberries sandwich on sourdough. Their potato salad also stays strong in the memory of my taste buds.

One of my absolute favorite places in Malibu! Since I'm a light eater, it was nice to find out that a lot of items can be ordered a la carte. Also- it's nice to see people of color dining there.....just an observation that I make. Food is amazing! I'm a pancake person and beside Ihop and The Pancake House in Redondo Beach, there aren't a lot of great pancakes places anymore in my opinion. Cafe Marmalade's pancakes is my new favorite now! They're doughy and sweet and simply tasty. It's in a great area but you have to pay attention or you can miss the turn. The other stores in the area are cute and great to check out. If your name is placed on the list, you can sit inside and wait or outside. Next door is a gelato shop with great chairs and tables for sitting at while waiting for your table and they don't seem to mind. Service is great and that's wonderful cause I'm a generous tipper! I agree this is definitely one of Malibu's best kept secrets on PCH ;)

Note: Another Restaurant that won't seat you until your entire party arrives. So if someone's late, discount them and maybe they can sneak in a seat next to you when they arrive :) This is my first time at Marmalade Cafe. I wanted to kick myself because Groupon had a coupon to this chain *sigh* Here's what I ordered: Egg Benedict, they give you three choices of meat. I got Smoked Salmon (the egg was not runny, too cooked for my taste, the Hollandaise sauce was too light=overall lack flavor, but still okay) Marmalade Potatoes - Super Good....it comes with most brunch entrees OJ- It's fresh, but not a lot of pulp French Toast - They give 3 full slices topped with Banana, strawberries, and blueberries. I enjoyed it. it's a bit different than the normal French toast. They use a bread that's a little harder. The texture is more stiff than the normal soft bread, but still delicious! Decor is nice. A long stretch dining area, which reminds me that they won't move their tables to let your party sit together. We didn't want to wait any longer, so side to side table was okay with us. It's a great place for breakfast, would definitely recommend. We made reservation around 9am for 1pm with no problems on a Sunday, good luck!

this is one of our local breakfast joints. we also sometimes take out-of-towners here for light lunch fare. the food is good and the service efficient. i'm not a fan of the cluttered faux-english decor, but my mother-in-law thinks it's "classy." eye of the beholder, i guess.

Good comfort food. Lots of healthy options and excellent soups to warm the body on cold days. Bakery items are always fresh and a great complement to any meal.
