The best New Year's Day meal we have had out! The building is very small, nine tables I think. We were seated relatively fast. Our waitress was very friendly and happy to help. I ordered a veggie soup as well as a crispy noodle vegetable dish. My wife ordered a shrimp plate. The wine glass was topped off to the brim and we were given the last of the bottle, which was only about an inches worth, but still! All three meals were fabulous! Everything tasted perfect and the portions were ample. Shrimp appeared to be overflowing the platter and the small bowl of soup was plenty big. We chatted with the owner for several minutes, and he was also great to talk with. When we go back to Lone Pine for a Whitney bid, you can be sure we will be eating here again.

Quirky location, but a real gem on the inside. The outside made me wonder (octagon shaped small building) but the inside is cosy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food was amazing. I had the Chinese food, and would highly recommended it. They get really busy in the Summer, but are really slow in the Winter months, so make sure you grab some dinner. If it's slow, you might get to strike up a conversation with the owner. Enjoy!
The waiter was awesome...did his best to make us happy which we already were. The city lacks good food, the Chinese food here was great, presented well, tasted yummy, especially after a long climb!
