Mimi's Cafe
Reviews

Went to Mimi's cafe for breakfast expecting a good cup of coffee. It tasted like flavored water so I asked if they could make me a Cafe Americano. It was worse. You would think a place like this could get their coffee act together.

We had lunch today at Mimi's in Elk Grove-myself, my granddaughter and my two sisters. After ordering our food it was well over 45 minutes before we started to eat. It was 11 am when we arrived at the restaurant. We ordered big salads only and drinks and a children's dish of mac and cheese with french fries and a drink. When we finally got our food and had been eating a few minutes, my sister found a dead squished fly in her salad. Our waiter very rarely came to our table, so it took a while to get his attention. He took the salad, but not really happliy and eventually brought her a replacement salad but she had lost her appetite for it. We all had salads so it was hard to eat ours too. The child's meal was like boxed mac and cheese that was dried up like it had sat around a lot and the fries were not cooked completely-not golden brown at all-wimpy. They said that they would take the salad off of the bill and they did, but the bill was not itemized and seemed high for 3 salads and a child's meal. It cost $32.86. We were celebrating my sister's birthday today and my grand daughters graduation from pre-school.Our celebration took from 11 to 1:14 for salad's that were less then expected.
