Food here is excellent. Great atmosphere and wonderful owners!
I'm not a big seafood person but the food was very good. My wife got the mahi mahi special catch and I thought it was good. We ate there 3 times and we were not disappointed. It can get noisy inside and when full the service can be a little slow but we are on vacation and didn't care.
Very friendly service, everyone in our group loved their meals, and the bread pudding was excellent!
We had a ball @ Islanders a few weeks ago! I had the shrimp po' boy and crab bisque, (which was excellent,) my husband had the big seafood platter which was enough for two to eat off of. The kids all had burgers, and they must've liked them, no leftovers. We sat outside where the band was, (piano, jazz flute and sax; great music!) Islanders is an intimate little place; well decorated, kind of like an island treehouse. It has decent prices, good atmosphere and great food.
Had the worst dining experience here! Waited an hour for our food to arrive and when it did the crab and spinach dip was canned crab, the fish was mushy, the Alfredo sauce was watered down, and the burgers burnt. Pathetic menu selections and never got a refill for our drinks. When we went and found the owner to let him know about the problems with our food, his response is "What do you want me to do about it". Refused to so much as walk to our table to look at this food or correct the issues. Very sarcastic and rude!! Will never return again and highly recommend others to not waste their money there or patronize his poor business practices, there are much better places on the island to eat!!!
