The seafood pasta was extremely bland and lacked any sizable bits of seafood. This was one of the worst entrees I received in a very long time. The seafood platter was better, but still had a feeling cheapness to certain parts, for instance the crab cakes were mostly bread and butter. They charge far too much for how steadily they cut corners.
Oopsy! I accidentally ordered grilled chicken when we stopped in here. I was pretty upset with myself until it came out. Man was it tasty. I don't think I've ever even had grilled chicken before. I'm from the south and we try to make sure everything has been fried at LEAST once before we eat it. Pleasantly surprised!
I'm not sure where to start with this one. It took 1.5 hrs to get my meal. Some in my party were done eating before My wife and I started. There was at least 1 hr between when they served our salad and our meal. My meal was great (grouper in crawfish sauce) but everyone else's was avg. Others who arrived after us were served and finished before we got our meal. They gave me and others the wrong sides, mixed up our checks and charged both parties to my card, gave us a carry-out cup with a hole in it, blamed the poor service on a waitress that walked out and then later on the kitchen and manager and left sides on our table we did not order. There was even more but you get the picture. If I ever return to Dauphin Island I will not eat here.
Great little place just as you enter Dauphin Island. Looks very "shacky" from the outside, but its clean and comfortable on the inside. I got a crab po-boy and was very good. We got here early so the service was fast and friendly. I recommend if you're passing through.
The seafood platter was the absolute best I've had since working on a commercial fishing boat.
