This place is hit and miss at best. Its now run down as the owner is selling. toilets = shocker. Now that woolworths has bought it i believe, it will become another waste of space just like the greenwood and the carine in due course. And look forward to being charged nearly $15 for a pint of peroni, im laughing = not. Same menu, same vibe,same boring everything. As soon as one of the majors buys a pub say good bye to any semblance of individualism. The greenwood, carine, queens, et al, look at what the aussie pub landscape will become, generic @ disappointing.
The Paddignton Ale house was open on Grand Final day. I decided to go and watch the game, enjoy a few drinks and eat food there. Once I got there I had to line up, the line was only 6 people long and I didn't think I'd wait long to enter. After 30 minutes of waiting in line and seeing the bouncers let around 6 young skimply dressed women straight through without having to queue I was quite disgusted. The attitude the bouncers had was disgraceful. A few couples came up and said they had made a reservation for a table, they shrugged their shoulders and told them to line up with the rest of them. As each couple left they stood there bitching about them in a very rude manner. I didn't get to spend any money there and as far as I'm concerned will never go there to do so. What a disgrace of a place. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. I recommend you avoid the Paddington Alehouse. A soggy cheese burger would be a better alternative.
Great food and drinks!
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good place to hangout on a summer afternoon.
My favourite Perth pub. Not too fancy and they have great beer and music
