The meal I had a the Dome Cafe, Kalamunda on 11th August 2014, would, in my opinion, compete for the position of either the worst or 2nd worst meal i've ever experienced at a restaurant or cafe. It was also, in my opinion, very expensive for such an unpleasant experience. $16.00+ for a 'chicken' focacia with what had the texture and taste of 'processed' chicken meat in rather than a genuine slice of meat from a roasted chicken, has convinced me never to eat in a Dome Cafe again. I certainly don't classify being left with such a nasty taste in my mouth and feeling of nausea as i experienced for hours after that meal, as 'value for money'. Among a party of eight, there were very few compliments about the food. The staff though were very pleasant, polite, friendly and considerate.
I went in with my son although the staff were wonderful the food was awful. It took over an hour to come and my sons chicken Parma must have been in the oven from when we placed the order. It resembled a burnt chicken nugget. My son who usually can eat anything not only couldn't cut it he couldn't bite into it. My meal had come out forty five mins before his so was long gone before his arrived. Sadly doesn't matter how great the staff are if the foods inedible. We won't be returning which is a shame as the coffee is always good.am on a disability pension so I really can't afford to take the risk of having to pay for a meal we can't actually consume.
Worst Dome I have been to, apart from the Applecross Dome.
Dreadful service, long wait, cold food. Awful.
Went to the Dome 19th May AM, I am a regular, I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, we are no strangers to ordering the same dish. However, they seem to be holding back on the scrambled eggs and bacon. Portions are getting smaller and smaller more to the extent of one egg scrambled and 1 whole bacon rasher cut in two to make it like a serving for $13.95 (there used to be 2 whole bacon rashers). This serving feeds a child. not a adult. Wont be ordering again.
