Terrible establishment. Incredibly rude staff, with poor manners and communication skills. Very immature in response to patrons complaints and unwilling to take any feedback. I encourage you to go else where if you prefer a side of manners with your meal.
i have alot of allergies and health conditions that need to be catered for when i go out. i take a card with me to outline these to the people who serve me. when my husband and i went to crown for dinner earlier in the year, i found that adequate attention was paid to my needs and the continual checks of everything being ok during the process of food preparation and afterward, to see if it was ok, was excellent. well done lilydale staff. very happy with the quality of food served, the service provided by the staff and the punctuality of the preparation. thankyou for the experience. we will be coming back!!
My friend and I have been going to the Crown every Friday for lunch for about a year. Always found the service and food great......until today. New chef, new waitresses.... really poor service....really rude Manager......no communication between chef and staff........very expensive Lamb Souvlaki $22 for a bit of lettuce and 5 pieces of lamb. It used to have a pita bread basket and wedges...... just to top it off there was a dead fly in our salad. Crown - you just lost 2 customers that have eaten there every Friday and brought all their family to the hotel for Christmas. Not only that but one of us is a senior manager in a local business and one is an Internet Manager who writes for the Web. Not the best two people to upset.
We go here at least once a month and it has Great pub meals. Fantastic service. Restaurant is separate from ponies. Always busy and the service is always great.
the crown is one of the nicest hotels i go to for a long time they are polite and always make you feel welcome
