Overall avarage experience The place is quite busy during weekends lunch time and the 5 of us orderd 2 pizzas and steamed vegetables. The pizzas took more the 30 min and the crust came quite burned. The pizzas centre tasted nicely. The service was quite avarage with busy waitress that was short tempered
We turned up un-booked on a miserable winter's day, Olinda was very busy so I was pleased we were quickly seated, though moved (understandably) to a smaller table once available. The service was polite and efficient. The food might have been slightly overpriced and my table was torn in it's opinion. The teens didn't like the aioli poured on the chips, my friend thought the bread too heavy for a midday meal, but I really liked the pizza dough on my Calzone and would go back for that, it was more reasonably priced too at $21. It would be great if they had some sub $20 lunch options, maybe half sized pizzas too as they were generous sized pizzas from what I saw but unless two people on a table could agree, not everyone can finish a family sized pizza by themselves, nor justify the high $20 price. I'd go back to this place, but my friend wouldn't and the teens would be more cautious with specifying sauce on the side.
Yum Yum Yum! The vegetarian wood fired pizza was just what my children and I felt like. The service was quick and the price reasonable.
Amazing! Great service especially Zoe & Holly, fabulous pizza and great antipasto. Lovely open fire to relax at after your dinner. Well worth a visit. We've been going here for the last 2 years and have never been disappointed.
Well, where to start with this dump that calls itself a restaurant.. If only we had read the previous comments we'd never have set foot in the place. If your going to Olinda - DRIVE PAST AND EAT ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!! Food - mediocre, atmosphere - non existent, service staff, well where to begin.. Management - appalling and extremely unprofessional. We ordered two calzones which were nothing to write home about, more dough than filling, the kids pasta was just pasta and cream, very disappointing.. However, never have I been in a restaurant where I've been so insulted! General manners are clearly lacking with these two owners of this establishment. We ate our meals, the restaurant was busy and noisy as it was early evening. We were told twice during the meals that our table was booked intially for 7pm for other diners (fair enough it was only 5.30pm). We explained that we wouldnt be long, a few minutes later we were approached again saying that the table was actually booked for 6.30pm now (we hadnt even ordered yet), also fine we said as we werent planning to hang about after dinner. We attended with our 2 children, ages 1 and 3, one in a highchair who ate his dinner and stayed captive there, so no running about or harassing other diners, the 3 year old was on her best behaviour, chatted to her brother, and were generally no more noisy than those around them. Otherwise she sat in her chair, left twice to say hello to another little girl who was seated at an ajoining table and we were really pleased with how good she was - so it was to our total astonishment when we were told by a waitress to keep the noise down and that the management weren't happy with the noise?! Reading the menu it clearly says and i quote "Children must be seated and quiet at all times whilst in the restaurant" however we did not expect that this was meant literally and that any noise our children made would result in complaints from the owners. Anyway, there wasnt much to say to that as we were totally shocked. I could understand it if the kids were running riot and disturbing other diners, and being noisy however this was not the case. We paid for the meal on the way out, the Manager was at the till, I politely and quietly (as i had the 3 year old in my arms) explained that by asking us to keep our children quiet when there was little or no noise coming from them that they had completely ruined out dining experience there and as a consequence wouldn't be back as it was very unfair. I also said that could I perhaps suggest that since theyre clearly not a child friendly establishment, perhaps they could make this clear to future diners, perhaps somewhere other than the menu, like the front door, that way potential diners could be clear that children weren't welcome. The reply was "yep thats fine" by the manager, however his wife, who had sat leering at us with her friends whilst drinking wine throughout our meal, decided to walk across the restaurant and loudly join in the conversation saying that they were a child friendly establishment "Dahllling", just not to badly behaved children, and proceeded to point in a clockwise direction around the restaurant to point out that apparently the entire restaurant was in agreement with her. I would strongly suggest that anybody even considering entering this restaurant thinks twice, and if you have kids with you, don't even think about it, you'll be made to feel embarrassed and likely be told, as we were, that you're bad parents if you're children speak above a whisper. If there's any justice this place will go out of business and the owners will learn the hard way that no matter how little you think of your customers, they are in fact the most important part of the business.
