Starbucks

After a year and being a gold member I find out (by accident) that when you purchase MORE than one drink on your Starbucks phone app, Starbucks reward card... you only get a reward or credit for 1 DRINK! Unbelievable right?! Somehow the reward card makes the sting of their outrageous prices a little bit more bearable buy knowing when you drop $30 on 5 drinks you have a free one right around the corner. NOT! The reason, starbucks worker said, was the system is not set up to give credit for more than one drink. REALLY?! It's 2015 people! And you would think someone would tell you rather than let it slip by you... I mean why would you use a rewards card at all if your goal was not to get a reward?! I have proof of the # of drinks I should have gotten "credit" (stars) for and I will be calling management to get my free drinks. You will be hearing from me again if I get any crap from them about it. Oh and a little tip... when you order 2, 3, 4, 5 drinks... have them ring them up one at a time to actually get credit for them. Sounds like a pain in the butt huh? In my honest opinion, they asked for it.
When I need to escape the distractions of home (tv, internet etc) I head to Starbucks to read and get my homework done. I have no complaints about the service or coffee. When baristas make an error for a customer, they willingly and quickly correct it. Very polite and professional staff. Consistent coffee and food. This location does not have a Clover machine, which was a little disheartening after reading Howard Schultz's "Onward". I would recommend that this location attempts to install an easier access door for anyone in wheelchairs. I witnessed one individual in a wheelchair need assistance getting into the building. As long as I live in the area, this will be a regular place for me to indulge in my coffee and reading.
This location has the slowest drive-thru ever. I tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt but every time I go, I sit in line for 15+ minutes. The first time I went, I was late for work because I sat for so long. I learned my lesson there! Once you're in line, it's like a death trap. There's no way out and you have no choice but to sit and wait. Very unnerving. Unless you have 20-30 minutes to spare before you have to be somewhere, DON'T STOP HERE! Obviously the staff needs to be better trained. I could drive to any other Madison location, get my order, and drive back to Sun Prairie in less time that it takes them. Seriously. Usually the coffee/bakery items are decent but it's not worth the wait to me.
One of the best Starbucks in town.
If you don't mind a 20 minute wait to get the wrong drink this is the place to be. New baristas with a beautiful store. Needs more experience. Great group of employees.
