Great location and VALUE! The most polite staff with an amazing view of the harbor area. We relaxed and enjoyed the comforts of this Island style location. The Half Moon dinning experience was AMAZING! Did not expect to have this type of high quality, fresh, tasty and four star all the way! Happy Hour is great! Love the Hawaiian music too! A must stay, relax and enjoy West Port!
We stayed in The Captains Suite and found it roomy and clean. It would be roomy with 6 people! Every person working there is nice, from check in to maintenance,the waitress and the barmaid. It has views to die for, and that is one of the main things I look for in a vacation room. Prices are fantastic, also something I care about.
We went in the off season and got a great rate. They had hot water with great pressure. The room was clean and cozy. Although the matress was firmer than I like, it did the job. We stayed one night to explore the coast. The Islander was perfect for that.
The room was pretty nice for the price. The bed wasn't the greatest but I slept well (and I'm a sensitive sleeper) so no complaints there. The hotel looks a bit worn but it's located in a nice spot near the ocean and it's wonderfully quiet (I was also lucky to have neighbors who were not loud during the night). The staff were nice and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.
If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this ain't it! But our room was clean, cozy, and the staff was super nice. The main attraction the Islander has over everyone else is location, location, location....and of course having a restaurant/bar in the same property, big bonus (Fish Tacos!!!!). Who spends all their time in a hotel room anyway, right? For the price, it's worth it, you can't beat the location, but have realistic expectations of what $109/night will get you in Westport.
